Job Description
The Senior Account Executive leads daily account activities for assigned brand(s) under the guidance of the account lead, driving the tactical execution of strategic plans and managing key client interactions. This role contributes to strategic decision-making, supports client satisfaction through high-quality, timely deliverables, and acts as a mentor to junior team members, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and business needs.
This is a hybrid position and requires the ability to commute to our Irvine, CA office at least 3 days per week.
  • Lead the development and execution of client deliverables in partnership with internal teams, ensuring projects meet timelines, budgets, and strategic goals
  • Translate brand strategies into actionable account activities and proactively recommend solutions aligned with client objectives
  • Serve as principal day-to-day point of contact for tactical initiatives, maintaining regular client communication and leading/managing weekly client status meetings
  • Oversee quality control and readiness of all deliverables prior to client submission (including Veeva), ensuring compliance with Medical, Regulatory, and Legal review standards
  • Manage the promotional review process, including agenda preparation and facilitation of Medical/Legal/Regulatory meetings as needed
  • Mentor and guide Account Executives and Account Coordinators, supporting their professional development and growth
  • Monitor and report on job estimates and brand budgets, updating account lead and clients, and ensuring adherence to financial protocols
  • Anticipate and address client needs or issues, escalating to account lead when appropriate
  • Support the internal agency team and client in preparation for major meetings, programs/events and initiatives with timeline and budget tracking/management, logistics and resource development
  • Uphold agency standards by fostering collaboration, adaptability, and strong team dynamics in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications
  • Experience: 4-6 years' pharmaceutical advertising agency experience, proven record of successful client service, experience mentoring junior staff
  • Education: Bachelor's degree; or equivalent business experience within the pharmaceutical or related industry
  • Software: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and relevant review platforms (e.g., Veeva)
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, demonstrated ability to lead presentations and meetings, solid understanding of science and healthcare, thorough knowledge of promotional review processes, adept at multitasking and prioritization, excellent attention to detail, persistent follow-up, and ability to adapt to fast-changing environments
