Job description

Description:

Key Account Coordinator

Full-Time | St. Louis, MO | In-Office | Limited Travel

About PFI InStore

PFI InStore designs and manufactures retail displays, fixtures, and merchandising solutions for leading brands and retailers. We’re a fast-paced, collaborative, technology-forward organization where employees are encouraged to take ownership, solve problems, and continuously improve.

The Opportunity

PFI InStore is looking for a highly organized, analytical, and solution-driven Key Account Coordinator to support our Walmart business.

This role provides day-to-day support for a key strategic account, working closely with the Key Account Director, sales team, Walmart contacts, and internal departments to keep customer requests, orders, projects, and commitments moving accurately and on time. We’re looking for a critical thinker—not simply a task taker. The ideal candidate asks questions, investigates issues, connects the dots across systems and departments, anticipates problems, and brings solutions—not just problems.

What You'll Do

  • Support the day-to-day Walmart account and respond to customer questions and requests.
  • Manage orders from purchase order through completion, monitoring status, changes, backorders, and potential delays.
  • Investigate issues, identify root causes, and coordinate solutions across internal teams.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Production, Purchasing, Shipping, Finance, and Project Management to meet      customer expectations.
  • Prepare reports, analyze account data, and maintain accurate customer and order information.
  • Support quotes, pricing requests, customer meetings, account reviews, and sales initiatives.
  • Proactively track open items and follow through until resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness.
  • Use technology, automation, and AI tools where appropriate to improve productivity.

What We're Looking For

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in customer service, account coordination, sales support, order management,      logistics, or a related field.
  • Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and research skills.
  • Exceptional organization, attention to detail, urgency, and follow-through.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across departments.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn CRM, ERP, and customer platforms.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
  • Experience with Retail Link, SPS Commerce, Coupa, PULSE, EDI, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Walmart or large-retailer experience is a strong plus.
  • Manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, or retail-display experience is beneficial.

Requirements:

What Success Looks Like

You’ll succeed in this role if you think ahead, take ownership, investigate before escalating, connect the dots, communicate proactively, and keep multiple priorities moving without losing attention to detail.

Benefits

PFI InStore offers:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Term life insurance
  • Short- and long-term disability
  • 401(k)
  • Accident insurance
  • Cancer care coverage
  • Hospital indemnity coverage

Insurance benefits are available beginning the first of the month following the employee’s first full month of employment.

PFI InStore is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
