Job description

The Marketing Operations Coordinator assists in the planning and execution of retail marketing promotions and sale events by managing projects from development through implementation. Partners with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and external vendors to coordinate the timely execution of retail marketing initiatives, ensuring promotional campaigns are accurate, well-supported, and successfully implemented.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Coordinate the end-to-end retail sale event creation process.
  • Work with Graphics team to ensure accurate changes are made in a timely manner.
  • Work with Pricing and Merchandise departments to ensure accurate price points, images and product descriptions are featured on the ad and all other promotional signage.
  • Work with Inventory Management department to ensure adequate stock is supplied to stores and DCs.
  • Coordinate, plan and lead team meetings associated with each sale event.
  • Working with Store Operations, coordinate all communications to field (Zipline Assignments for set-up & teardown, TeamNet Instructions, and checklist in sale kit).
  • Handle all communications to various departments for the execution of retail sale material.
  • Work with suppliers on offer reimbursement and promotional opportunities.
  • Coordinate signage creation, proofing, and distribution for all sale events.
  • Coordinate the distribution of point of sale material and sales kits, working with external printers, and UPS to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Maintain project checklist to ensure all steps are completed as needed in the time frames determined for all ad events.
  • Work with Retail Systems to issue invoice messages and IPS banners for each sale event.
  • Recap and distribute internal communications for flyer proofing and Inventory Control planning meetings.
  • Work with Advertising Coordinator and field leadership to plan, create, and distribute Grand Opening sale flyers, promotional signage, and giveaway items to new and relocated stores.
  • Assist Store Design with creation and execution of POS material.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Requires experience with and knowledge of the following software: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience in data entry and 10-key.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Must present a professional company image and positive attitude.
  • Comfortable in a TEAM-oriented work environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional ability to keep multiple, high-priority tasks on track and work under pressure.
  • Requires the ability to shift priorities at a moment's notice.
  • Requires the ability to work with multiple departments effectively.
  • Must be able to lift packages up to 40 lbs.

DESIRED
  • Bachelor's degree in Advertising/Marketing or related field.
  • Previous retail and/or print production experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of promotions and retail sale implementation processes.
  • Understanding of our corporate structure, logistic, purchasing and inventory control systems.
