What we offer Embark on an extraordinary journey with a job at Kennedy Space Center, where every day allows you to share the excitement of space exploration with our guests.  * Health, dental, and vision insurance* * 401 (k) with company match* * Paid vacation days and holidays* * Paid parental bonding leave* * Tuition or professional certification reimbursement* * Weekly pay * 12 complimentary tickets and 4 parking passes per year to share with friends and family * Attraction share program with 5 visits per year, with up to 3 guests at discounted rates to popular Florida attractions * Rewards and recognition program with cool gifts and merchandise * Training and development with opportunities for internal mobility and growth, including the chance to work at our other locations nationwide *Available for eligible team members, part-time team members must earn eligibility   What will you do? * Handling, chopping, assembling, cooking and serving a wide variety of foods. * Safely operate, sanitize, and clean all equipment, including that used for food service. * Comply with all property and departmental standards as they pertain to safety and security. * You may be regularly required to drive yourself to a remote work location where public transportation is not available, and you will be asked to show NASA credentials for entry. * After 6 months of start date you are eligible to transfer to operations and retail departments. * Drive a company vehicle as needed. * All other duties as assigned.  More about you * Must be at least 18 years of age to apply. * Prior experience as a cook is required.  * Attention to detail is essential. * Must be able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.  * Must be available to work weekends and holidays, and to work on-call by being scheduled within 24 hours. * Must be able to obtain a food handlers' certification. * Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to drive yourself to and from work. * This position requires authorization to work at Kennedy Space Center and completion of all site access requirements.  Physical requirements * Able to stand for long periods of time, including walking, bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, and stretching. * Be able to work in both hot and cold environments. * Ability to handle or operate dangerous kitchen equipment. * Able to lift 20 lbs and up to 50 lbs with assistance. * Ability to move rapidly and coordinate multiple orders. * Includes indoor and outdoor work environments.
