Job description

Job Title:        Supply Chain Planner

Location:       Blaine, MN

Reports To:   Supply Chain Manager

Expected Salary Range:  $70,000 - $85,000

Dungs Combustion Controls develops, manufactures, and markets products and systems globally for the comfort heating and process heat industry. Karl Dungs, Inc. (KDI) is the North American subsidiary of Karl Dungs GmbH & Co. KG (DUNGS). KDI oversees sales and supports the entire Americas region, including North, Central, and South America.


Role Description

The Supply Chain Planner manages the entire life cycle of product availability. This role combines data-driven forecasting with hands-on inventory management. The goal is to predict demand accurately while maintaining optimal physical stock levels, reducing waste, and preventing stockouts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Demand Forecasting: Analyze historical sales, market trends, and seasonality to build accurate demand models. 
  • Stock Auditing: Coordinate physical cycle counts and reconcile physical inventory with digital records.
  • Inventory Optimization: Determine ideal stock levels and economic order quantities (EOQ) while maintaining forecast-based planning within the MRP
  • Data Reconciliation: Identify and fix discrepancies within the MRP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Vendor & Sourcing Collaboration: Share forecasts with procurement and vendors to ensure on-time material delivery.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Generate inventory velocity, turnover, and forecast accuracy reports for leadership.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or Logistics (or 6+ years of equivalent experience.)
  • 3-5 years in demand planning, inventory control, or supply chain analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP/WMS platforms (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and demand planning software.
  • Expert Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas) experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau.) a plus
  • ASCM certifications (CPIM or CSCP) are highly preferred.

Work Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Primarily office-based.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, with occasional standing, walking, bending, and light lifting (up to 25lbs)
  • Occasional travel may be required for supplier visits or industry events.
  • Relocation package not available
