Security Officer
The primary functions are to protect EMIC/KCM assets and personnel. Twenty-four-hour patrols of 1,500-acre estate consisting of executive offices, warehouses, child care facilities, airport, television and music production studios and parsonage.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Protecting stipulated people and locations from harassment, physical attack, vandalism, and other forms of abusive or unauthorized treatment.
- Maintaining highest level of confidentiality regarding job duties and information related to ministry processes, principals, family, residence, property, visitors, and staff.
- Comporting oneself in a manner that reflects well on Kenneth Copeland Ministries and Eagle Mountain International Church.
- Completing and submitting incident reports after noteworthy developments.
- Ensuring that security equipment and measures are suitable and that they always remain in excellent working condition.
- Inspecting and patrolling premises regularly.
- Monitoring surveillance cameras and reporting suspicious behavior.
- Buildings, improving, and maintaining effective relationships with KCM/EMIC stakeholders, staff, and visitors.
- Reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing via log entries.
- Handling security issues or emergency situations appropriately.
- Meeting and continuing to meet any applicable state licensing and permit requirements for armed security officers and specific protective device and weapons qualifications.
- Maintaining awareness and familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Performing vehicle and/or foot patrol of KCM property including fixed post assignments.
- Inspecting and reporting the conditions of buildings, equipment, airport area and general wellbeing of KCM property.
- Responding to security and fire alarms.
- Performing building checks to ensure doors are locked, windows closed, and lights/equipment turned off or on as appropriate.
- Providing security for special events.
- Maintaining security department vehicles and equipment to specified standards.
- Preparing detailed written and oral reports of daily patrol activities.
- Administering basic first aid and CPR, as needed.
- Assisting other ministry departments as required.
- Actively and successfully participating in security training programs.
- Performing radio dispatcher duties.
- Monitoring intrusion and fire alarm systems.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree (preferred).
- 1-4 years EMIC security preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Intermediate defensive tactics proficiency.
- Police handgun and long gun skills proficiency.
- Tactical emergency casualty care certification.
- Dispatch skills proficiency.
- Patrol skills proficiency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Microsoft Word familiarity desired.
- Must work all shifts and some holidays.
- Must work well in stress situations.
- Must be able to qualify and maintain a license as a commissioned security officer with the TCPS.
- Must be 21 years of age.
Equipment to Be Used:
- Telephones, computers, fax machines, copiers, radios, vehicles.
Typical Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand for a minimum of eight hours per day.
- Must be able to sit at a computer for a minimum of eight hours per day.
- Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, calculators, telephones, and other office equipment.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
- Must be able to pull, push, stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, move or carry equipment.
- Must be able to pass physical assessment, which consists of the following:
- Pt1 Strength and Conditioning Assessment:
- 5 hand release burpees
- Farmers carry (45lb DBs) 50 yds (25yds down and back)
- 20 strict pushups
- Backwards sled drag (90lbs) 50 yds (25 yds down and back)
- 5 hand release burpees
- Repeat farmers carry 25yds down and 25yds back
- Under 4 min = PASS.
- Pt2-Core Strength Assessment:
- 1 min plank on elbows
- Drop to knees is automatic fail
- Pt3-Conditioning Assessment:
- 400-meter shuttle start from chest on ground (50 meters down and back)
- Under 2:30 = PASS
Typical Mental Demands:

Working Conditions:
- Required to work holidays, extended hours, and any shift needed to support the Security Department; 24/7 availability required.
