Worldwide Jet Charter
Location: Work is primarily performed in an office environment, with occasional on-aircraft involvement for testing, validation, or troubleshooting support.
The Avionics Electrical Engineer is responsible for engineering design, systems analysis, testing, and technical support related to aircraft avionics and electrical systems. This role collaborates closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Flight Operations to improve system reliability, performance, and compliance, while supporting fleet upgrades and modifications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, analyze, and develop avionics and aircraft electrical systems
  • Create and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Support the development and integration of avionics systems including navigation, communication, radar, autopilot, and flight control systems
  • Analyze complex system issues and develop engineering solutions and improvements
  • Support aircraft modifications, upgrades, and certifications in accordance with FAA regulations
  • Assist with system testing, validation, and troubleshooting during development and implementation
  • Collaborate with avionics technicians and maintenance teams to provide engineering guidance and support
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer standards, and company engineering procedures

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field (required)
  • Strong understanding of aircraft avionics and electrical systems
  • Experience with circuit design, systems integration, and avionics testing
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations and certification processes
  • Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop effective solutions
  • Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred Experience
  • Experience with turbine or business aircraft avionics systems
  • Knowledge of flight control systems, fly-by-wire concepts, or advanced navigation systems
  • Experience supporting aircraft modification or certification projects
