Program Summary

As part of the LOGCAP PMO scope, KBR provides rapid response support to scheduled and unscheduled U.S. Army training exercises. KBR's LOGCAP team successfully completed another year of support to Warfighter operations by providing typical LOGCAP services at two locations.

Job Summary

KBR is seeking a Sr. Quality Manager [SQM] to join our team for an exciting opportunity to manage KBR's Global Readiness and Sustainment [R&S] Quality Management Systems for Operations, Maintenance, Facilities and Asset Management programs under the Army & Strategic Programs portfolio.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining quality standard of products and the procedures and materials that go into work scope. Aligns quality management function with the performance needs of product lines.
  • Under broad direction, is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related disciplines or sub-groups within a function.
  • Manages the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to managers or professional staff.
  • Participates in the development of functional strategy and may be responsible for global processes and procedures.
  • Provides specialized technical expertise in support of the Quality program, including specialized inspection and testing techniques, quality training, statistical methods, audits, quality tools for problem solving and assessment.
  • Creates inspection reports stating the conditions of a work area to ensure requirements are met. Makes recommendations for corrective action.
  • Applies knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution.
  • Implements principles of performance evaluation and prediction methods are used to improve product systems safety, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance after employment.
  • Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 12+ years of experience, 3+ of which should be in management. Program Quality Management experience will be considered in lieu of education.
  • Experience recruiting, forming, and successfully managing teams, and ensuring the quality of their products.

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Greenbelt and or Blackbelt certification or similar quality management certifications.
  • Experience in implementing lean for services six sigma program.
  • Certification from PMI.
  • Completed training course work for Lead ISO 9001 QMS auditor.
  • Prior experience with US military Base Operations Support and asset management programs.
  • Completed training course work for Lead ISO 9001 QMS auditor.
