Job description

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for servicing the PET (small-pack) accounts of Menehune Water Company throughout the Kauai Division. The PET Merchandiser ensures product is properly stocked, displayed, and rotated at retail stores, maintains accurate inventory, and supports the Division Manager and PET Manager in maximizing sales revenue at each account.


Minimum Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Valid government-issued ID for I-9 employment eligibility verification

  • Sensitivity to confidential matters required


Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of warehouse, merchandising, or sales experience preferred

  • Valid State of Hawaii driver's license with clean abstract

  • Knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

  • Basic reading, writing, math, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack

  • Ability to consistently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Good oral and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with co-workers, store personnel, and the general public

  • Ability to work under deadlines, use sound judgment, and work independently with minimal supervision

  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment

  • Maintain consistent attendance and adhere to assigned schedules


Key Responsibilities:


Sales & Account Management:

  • Maintain open communication with the PET Manager and Director of Sales

  • Develop a working relationship with store managers, clerks, and other personnel (internal and external) to maintain or grow sales

  • Appropriately place orders for each account to maximize sales revenue

  • Assist the Division Manager with orders and small-pack issues

  • Introduce new products to accounts as they become available


Merchandising & Inventory:

  • Ensure product is properly stocked at retail stores throughout Kauai

  • Maintain, grow, and upgrade product shelf space

  • Restock product that has expired or been damaged

  • Maintain accurate inventory of product at each store and report all inventory counts to the Manager

  • Maintain product transfers from small-pack and 5-gallon warehouses to appropriate accounts

  • Return reusable pallets and boxes to Menehune Water Company when possible

  • Set up and break down displays for all promotional events related to PET product sales

Operations & Logistics:

  • Perform frequent lifting and carrying of product (up to 50 lbs.)

  • Operate a forklift and pallet jack to retrieve and transport product

  • Develop and maintain a delivery van use schedule for merchandising at various accounts, including daily check-out/check-in and weekly cleaning

  • Coordinate with the Division Manager on routing and delivery information

  • Inspect and maintain cleanliness of delivery vehicles

  • Report accidents, damage, or safety concerns immediately

  • Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies


Administrative Support:

  • Process orders and fulfill customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Upon delivery, obtain appropriate signature on invoices and provide customer with a copy

  • Maintain accurate delivery and customer records

  • Report all sales-related issues to the Division Manager

  • Complete other related duties as assigned


Customer Service:

  • Provide professional and courteous service to customers

  • Address customer concerns and escalate issues when necessary

  • Represent the company in a positive and professional manner
