Precipart. located in Farmingdale, NY, is looking to hire skilled and experienced Machinists to set up and operate CNC machines in our state-of-the-art facility featuring versatile machining capabilities, including: Lathe, Swiss Turning, Milling, Cylindrical Grinding, and Gear Cutting.   • Our Machinist career growth path has four distinct tiers, from Entry Level, Class C, Class B, to Class A. Each tier is designed to build upon your skills and experience, providing targeted development and increasing responsibilities to help you achieve your professional goals.
  • Our renovated facilities is equipped with state of the art equipment and is temperature controlled providing a comfortable environment that is focused on quality, safety and 5S. 
  • We offer two work shifts, 1st (7:00am to 3:30pm) and 2nd shift (3:00pm to 11:30pm which includes a 15% shift differential).
  • Relocation bonus available for candidates committed to moving to the NY downstate area.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Set up and run up to two machines to fabricate precision parts
  • Load and unload parts in the machine
  • Start the machining cycle
  • Inspect dimensions of finished pieces
  • Change tooling as needed
  • Hold tight tolerance of +/- .0002
  • Meet quality standards and production schedules

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION 

  • Experience setting up and operating CNC machines to fabricate precision components. We welcome candidates of all experience levels to apply. The hiring class and compensation for this role will be determined through our assessment process, taking into account your skills, experience, and qualifications. Additionally, the final level will be based on the business needs at the time of hire.
  • Should demonstrate interest and aptitude in this line of work
  • Relevant technical associate degree or CNC Machining certificate is preferred for candidates with minimal work experience
  • Experience fabricating precision parts
  • Experience working to very close tolerances (+/- .0002)
  • Experience with reading blueprints for mechanical components
  • Experience inspecting parts and using inspection tools
  • Good aptitude for shop math
  • Experience with changing live tooling
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production schedule
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
  • Able to stand for duration of shift and lift up to 40lbs
  • Able to work 2nd shift from 3:00pm to 11:30pm during the week and overtime including Saturday as needed is preferred

PAY RANGE $20.00 to $46.00 an hour
