Job Description

MAXISIQ is seeking engineering professionals to support network engineering efforts in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment supporting multiple mission networks. This requisition is intended to identify qualified candidates for anticipated and future network engineering opportunities as business needs evolve. Candidates will provide innovative ways to achieve operational excellence and identify and resolve network issues where needed. This full time role supports work performed primarily in McLean, VA. Some travel may be required, and work hours may include normal or early shifts.

Qualifications

Clearance: 

  • Candidate must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph in order to be considered.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience performing network engineering on Sponsor mission systems.
  • Demonstrated experience working with TCP IP protocol suite, IP subnet masking, and routing protocols.
  • Demonstrated experience working in Local Area Network (LAN) environments and Wide Area Network (WAN) Transport environments.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, configuring, installing, and troubleshooting both routing and switching systems on Cisco and Juniper equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience with Routing Protocols to include OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
  • Demonstrated experience with Gateway Redundancy Protocols to include Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP) and Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP).
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing L2 and L3 VPN across an MPLS network.
  • Demonstrated experience with network security such as firewalls and Access Control Lists (ACL).
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Visio for network topology creation and modification.
  • Demonstrated experience monitoring networks and using analysis tools to identify performance issues
  • Demonstrated experience repairing identified issues
  • Obtained (active or past) Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Juniper Network Certified Internet Professional (JNCIP) certifications, or have equivalent experience in designing, implementing and managing multivendor LAN and WAN networks.
