The Opportunity

Team CACI has an exciting and challenging opportunity available for a Crypto Lead. You will support an Intelligence Community customer’s wide-area (WAN), local-area (LAN) and campus-area (CAN) networks across multiple security domains. Focus will be on managing the TCS COMSEC account managers, and over see the cryptologic duties to include operation and maintenance of encryption devices.

  • Experience in complex telecommunications applications involving all phases of telecommunications network design, implementation, and analysis.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in communications security for monitoring, operating and maintaining cryptographic devices.
  • Performs research, requirements analysis, design, installation, troubleshooting, and support of local- and wide-area network hardware, software and applications.
  • Can install and configure WAN and LAN hardware to include cryptographic, voice, video, and data cable systems.
  • Develops system specifications, architecture designs, integration and test plans, and all relevant documentation.
  • Develops risk management and mitigation strategy.
  • Maintain compliance with QA standards as well as ensuring service performance indicators are met or exceeded.
Responsibilities

Overseeing the overall COMSEC / Encryption team. Oversee the Account Management, Custodian Duties and Encryption device configurations and maintenance. Oversee and Maintain multiple Secure Communication devices across the Enterprise.

  • Will have experience with the following encryption devices: General Dynamics family: KG175D, KG175F, KG175G and KG175X L-3 Family: KG245A and KG245X Viasat Family: KG250, KG250X, KG255X and KG142.
  • Will have experience with the following encryption device managers: General Dynamics GEM ONE L-3 Common HAIPE Manager (CHM) VIASAT VINE Will coordinate system maintenance, monitoring and installation of multiple WAN/LAN environments encompassing multiple specializations, platforms and technologies.
  • Will research and implement enterprise system-wide encryption solutions/capabilities/enhancements to support customer business/mission goals and objectives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network media and components.
  • Will evaluate and monitor health and performance of the communications security services including hardware and management software. Will develop and maintain a road map for capabilities, operations, and technologies.
  • Will develop and execute test plans and supporting documentation of all communications security configuration upgrades, additions or revisions for customer approval before implementation.
  • Will evaluate and report on new/emerging network/communication technologies to enhance capacity, performance and reliability of the network. Will evaluate and recommend changes and/or technology upgrades to address performance, standardization and industry best practices.
  • Will follow all customer network security processes and procedures, ensures compliance with all government policies.
QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • DOD 8570 IAT2 level certification (Security +)
  • Active TS/SCI, eligibility to take and pass a CI polygraph.
  • Ability to work independently with little direction and guidance.
  • Ability to work weekends and evening hours as needed.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop analytical documents and present oral presentations.
