Job description

Job Summary
The Senior Cloud Network Engineer provides Level-3 design, implementation, and operational support for enterprise cloud and data center networking environments. This role is heavily focused on GCP and Azure networking, with additional exposure to AWS and OCI. The engineer works closely with Cloud Network Architects to translate business requirements into high- and low-level designs, lead implementations, and perform advanced troubleshooting across cloud, firewall, and routing/switching platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Architecture
  • Provide Level-3 network design, engineering, and implementation support for enterprise cloud and data center environments.
  • Review business requirements with Cloud Network Architects and Engineering teams.
  • Create High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) diagrams.
  • Develop LLD cabling matrices based on approved designs.
  • Design and implement hybrid connectivity between data centers and cloud providers.

Implementation & Change Management
  • Create detailed implementation (build/deploy) plans, verification steps, and back-out procedures.
  • Raise and manage ServiceNow change tickets, coordinating outage windows per client standards.
  • Perform after-hours and weekend implementations as required.
  • Execute build/deploy activities with proper coordination and approvals.
  • Conduct post-implementation validation, performance testing, and documentation.

Cloud & Network Operations
  • Perform advanced design, implementation, and troubleshooting across:
  • GCP, Azure, AWS, OCI networking
  • Palo Alto Firewalls (physical & virtual)
  • Cisco Nexus routing and switching
  • Update network inventory and documentation following implementations.
