Job description

Tuvli is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed and experienced individual to fill the role of a Junior Systems Administrator for our existing government client in Alexandria, VA. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!
Responsibilities
  • Deploy, manage, maintain, and support Microsoft Windows (all versions), Active Directory, local applications, servers, workstations and related technologies.
  • Respond to monitored alerts, emails, and work orders to quickly identify trouble source and implement resolution.
  • Conduct system audits and data backups.
  • Assist with design and implementation of technical security technology and IT projects as directed.
  • Support the analysis and resolution of system issues.
  • Support development and maintenance of system documentation.
  • Support all aspects of the system environment including systems, network and security.
  • Provide support developing and maintaining a heavily virtualized VMware environment.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Microsoft DNS, Active Directory, and Group Policy - Minimum 1 years' experience.
  • Virtualization/Hypervisor - Minimum 1 years' experience.
  • Dell Server and iDrac Remote Management - Minimum 1 years' experience.
  • Microsoft Windows 11 support and troubleshooting.

Desired Qualifications:
  • VMware vSphere 7/8.
  • Microsoft Windows 11 deployment.
  • Microsoft PKI/Certificate services.
  • Symantec EndPoint Protection.
  • Microsoft Defender for Antivirus.
  • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
  • Microsoft Windows PowerShell.
  • SolarWinds Monitoring Platform.
  • A degree in the field of computer science or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Post- Secondary Education and or combination of education and experience.
  • Technical certification is a plus (e.g., COMP TIA Security +, A+ or related disciplines).
  • 1 or more years of direct experience within a WAN/LAN environment.
  • Must be able to work independently, is capable of applying critical thinking to solve complex technical problems and function as a reliable team member.
  • Experience working in a VMware environment highly desirable.
  • Have an understanding of enterprise level server/workstation systems.
  • Experience performing system audits.
  • Must be able to provide periodic 24/7 on call support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Able to work in a team environment with little to no supervision.
  • Able to foster strong relationships with users and clients.
  • A minimum of DoD Interim Secret Clearance is required.
  • Candidate must reside within 50 miles of the Nation's Capital Region (NCR)/ Washington DC.
