Description:
  • Our client requires the services of a Junior Java Developer/Test Engineer to support development and implementation of NC FAST Operations and Maintenance related to the FNS Program.
  • They seek a contractor resource to assist with the development and implementation as a Junior Java Developer.
  • This resource contributes to the full lifecycle of Java-based applications in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
  • This position is responsible for writing test scripts, performing manual testing, creating and executing TOSCA automated test scripts, writing junit and jmockit test scripts to support automated developer testing, assisting senior developers in building, testing and debugging Java applications, writing clean code participating in code reviews working with databases and performing SDLC best practices in a supportive team setting focusing on growth and contributing to quality software delivery in the Curam Application.
  • The primary responsibilities of this team member will be to write manual test scripts, perform manual testing, complete automated testing with TOSCA, develop and execute junit and jmockit test scripts for developer unit testing, assist in designing developing and maintaining new Java applications and features, writing clean efficient testable and well-documented code following industry standards, collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement solutions, debug and resolve software defects ensuring application stability, participate in code reviews providing and receiving feedback to improve code quality, work with database changes and integrate them into applications e.g. SQL contribute to system documentation and continuous improvement of development processes and staying current with new testing and Java technologies trends and best practices.
