Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Business System Analyst - Hybrid position with an Agricultural Cooperative located in Inver Grove Heights, MN. This is a contract opportunity. Compensation: $75 - $80 per hour, W2, based on qualifications Position Overview: This role is focused on supporting and enhancing commodity trade operations through robust business analysis and techno-functional solution support for various applications. The ideal candidate will partner with Trading, Risk, Middle Office, and IT teams to translate business needs into clear requirements, support solution design, and ensure high-quality delivery across the full project lifecycle, while also providing ongoing application and integration support. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end business analysis for hedging and trade initiatives, from discovery through stabilization Guide documentation of current and future-state processes, including process maps, controls, and handoffs Translate business needs into clear, testable requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria Partner with solution architects and delivery teams to support solution design and integration Identify data and reporting needs for positions, exposures, P&L, and settlements Support the planning and execution of System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Drive defect triage and resolution workflows with stakeholders and technical teams Provide functional and techno-functional support for hedging and trade applications Support integration monitoring and troubleshooting across upstream and downstream systems Coordinate with vendors to manage escalations and ensure timely resolution of production issues Perform root-cause investigation for incidents and document corrective actions Participate in change management and release readiness activities Serve as a trusted partner to stakeholders, communicating clearly across business and technical audiences Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the continuous improvement of analysis standards Primary Requirements: 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst supporting commodity trading and hedging processes in a functional or techno-functional capacity Proven delivery experience across requirements, process mapping, solution design support, SIT/UAT coordination, defect triage, and deployment readiness Experience supporting production applications, including incident analysis, root-cause investigation, and vendor coordination Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, testable requirements and manage traceability Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive alignment Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and professionalism Desired Skills: Experience with ION XTP (or similar ION platforms) supporting trade processing and integrations Experience with ION Openlink (Endur/Openlink) in a functional or techno-functional role Experience working in regulated or controlled environments with strong attention to auditability and operational risk Familiarity with market data, pricing, and reference data concepts related to trading and risk reporting Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
