System Analyst (Cityworks)

Location:Woodbridge, VA
Contract:W2 only,

Overview

We is seeking an experienced System Analyst to support Cityworks, IT Pipes, and other asset management related platforms. The role involves administration, configuration, and optimization of the Trimble Cityworks Asset Management System, serving as the technical lead for related projects, integrations, and support. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance workflows, improve data quality, and support decision-making through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain the Cityworks AMS and PLL platforms, including upgrades, patches, and performance tuning.
  • Design, configure, and optimize Cityworks workflows, service requests, work orders, inspections, and asset hierarchies.
  • Administer and support ITpipes for CCTV inspection workflows, data collection, and reporting.
  • Lead system integrations with GIS (Esri), financial systems, SCADA, and other enterprise platforms.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs using Cityworks Analytics, Crystal Reports, Power BI, SEEQ, and similar tools.
  • Provide advanced user support, training, and documentation for Cityworks users across departments.
  • Collaborate with GIS staff to ensure accurate spatial data integration and asset mapping.
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with Cityworks support for issue resolution and enhancements.
  • Lead or support Cityworks-related projects, including system expansions, mobile deployments, and data migrations.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
  • Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.
Required Skills
  • Deep understanding of asset management principles and public sector operations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-departmental initiatives.
  • Experience with Esri ArcGIS platform and spatial data integration.
  • Experience with SQL Server, scripting (Python, PowerShell), and API integrations preferred.
Required Education
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, GIS, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 or more years of experience with Cityworks AMS/PLL administration and support.
Preferred Skills
  • Cityworks Administrator Certification.
  • Esri Technical Certification (e.g., ArcGIS Desktop or Enterprise).
  • ITIL Foundation or PMP (a plus).
