Description

Role: This position is responsible for production support, project implementation, and maintenance for all systems and applications central to running Blaze's business including, but not limited to: core banking platform; accounting and profitability systems; card and ATM processing; monitoring Core third party integrations.

Job Type: Full-time, on-site at our Westminster administrative office in St Paul, MNย ย ย ย 


Major Duties and Responsibilities


Production support

  • Completes analysis, configuration, maintenance, support, review and/or implementation of Core Financial System.
  • Deploy, maintain, and trouble shoot core business application, including application servers, associated hardware, network, endpoints database storage, backup devices and other systems as determined.
  • Resolve assigned IT Requests or system inquiries from internal associates and business partners.
  • Identify and implement best practices to protect data. Assist to develop test plans to support systems disaster recovery.
  • Integrated banking solutions and peripherals
  • File Transmission

System maintenance

  • Core Financial Release Implementation
  • Support Hardware upgrades
  • Support job automation tools, job automation and scheduling
  • Documentation of system configuration

Project Implementation

  • Provide functional specifications for Core Financial System, identifies user needs, analyzes options and alternatives, and evaluates functionality.ย 
  • Implement projects ranging from small enhancements to those with multiple integrated systems.
  • Participation in all phases of the project life cycle with emphasis on design, development and testing.

Serves as an advisor to the IT Technology Specialists

  • Demonstrates leadership/mentoring qualities to motivate, coach, and train others.
  • Develops and maintains a cooperative working relationship with credit union management

Other Duties

  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control

Requirements

Experience/Education/Certifications/Licenses

  • ย Minimum High School degree or equivalent
  • Experience supporting end users in a financial environment, prior experience with Fiserv DNA is preferredย 
  • 4 to 5 years system analyst experience; server, application implementation, application development, system administration, business systems analysis and system training in a corporate environment; or equivalent combination of education experience.ย 

Demonstrated Knowledge

  • Ability to use a wide variety of third-party technologies, applications and tools
  • Comfort with frequent and incremental system table configurations, testing, and deployment
  • Understanding of automation and automation tools e.g. Go Anywhere or Opcon
  • Data management skills
  • A focus on successful business outcomes
  • Problem solving and creative thinking skills
  • Understanding of Microsoft Products and Excel

Communication Skills

Ability to develop and implement responses to members/staff to document and develop new and ongoing techniques to improve processes; written communications draw from expert information from the field whether as an individual contributor or managerย 


Physical Requirements

Ability to sit and stand; answer calls; operate computer; interact with internal staff and public on the phone; travel to designated offices; lift up to 20 lbs.

Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on your experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity considerations. The salary range for this position is: $78,490.65-$98,113.31/annually. ย This range reflects the base salary for this position. We have other benefits associated with this position which include: low-cost medical (as low as $20 a paycheck), dental insurance, vision insurance, quarterly bonuses, generous vacation and sick time hours, paid leave options, up to 6% 401k contribution, and tuition reimbursement.ย
