This is a pivotal time for a transition to cloud services, which has fueled rapid growth in our customer base, as firms seek a product of our quality in order to put their best foot forward to remote clients.


Your mission:

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager and also working closely with the Solutions Engineering, Post Launch Engineering, and Product teams in order to deliver the best quality product to our clients. Your primary tasks will include:

  • Regression testing: Ensure that the application and configuration meet the established standards set by Mako and the client
    • Inspect deliverables before each release
    • Automate regression tests using existing automation frameworks
  • Interact with the team including Sales Engineers, Solutions Engineers, Post-Launch Engineering, and Software Engineers to understand business, functional and data modifications in scope for each sprint/release
  • Understand the documentation relating to the business process review
  • Develop and execute Test Plans to validate the system changes and functionality, ensuring sufficient coverage of the functionality
  • Identify and track defects, providing reports of test outcomes
  • Recommend and institutionalize QA best practices, methodology and tool
  • Work closely with the Solutions Engineering, Post Launch Engineering, and Product teams to improve existing processes


About you:

  • Educational background in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of the software testing lifecycle, including assisting with test plans, test cases, and test execution
  • Basic understanding of testing web applications across multiple browsers (e.g. Chrome, Edge, Safari, etc.)
  • Strong documentation, organizational, time-management, and communication skills
  • Ability to learn and retain technical knowledge quickly
  • Enthusiastic about developing QA skills and contributing to team success
  • Experience with test automation is considered an asset
  • Experience in the wealth management industry is considered an asset
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
