Job description

Please, no third parties.
Permanent residents only.
This is a fully onsite role in Flower Mound, TX, and no relocation assistance is available.
Opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support project and sprint operations for our development team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants hands-on exposure to software project management, working directly with a Product Manager to keep sprint work, backlog grooming, and cross-team communication running smoothly. The ideal candidate is a strong written communicator, comfortable managing multiple threads at once, and proactive about flagging questions or blockers early rather than guessing.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain and groom the Jira backlog, keeping tickets accurately scoped, written, and prioritized.
- Keep Jira tickets updated in real time to reflect actual work status, so progress is visible to the team without requiring manual check-ins.
- Write and refine user stories following an established template (User Story/Background, Description, Input/Search Criteria, Output/Results).
- Support sprint ceremonies including planning, grooming, and standups, tracking action items and following up on open threads.
- Track progress across active initiatives and proactively flag risks, blockers, or delays.
- Prepare clear, accurate status updates for stakeholders, including across US and EU teams.
- Coordinate communication between developers and business stakeholders, without owning or defining technical requirements.
- Ensure developer assignments and requests follow established team process rather than ad hoc stakeholder asks.
- Handle day-to-day administrative and coordination tasks to keep the team and its projects moving.
- Independently prioritize the backlog following grooming sessions.
Skills & Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a coordination, administrative, or project support role.
- Strong written communication skills, comfortable documenting decisions, requirements, and status clearly and consistently.
- Ability to work independently and self-manage day-to-day priorities.
- Comfortable asking clarifying questions early rather than assuming or guessing scope.
- Organized and detail-oriented, able to track multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
- Honest, accurate self-reporting on progress and status, including when work is blocked or behind.
- Demonstrated follow-through, work reflected consistently in project tracking tools (not just self-reported updates).
- Comfortable with a role where day-to-day activity is visible and tracked in shared systems like Jira.
- Track record of meeting deadlines independently, with verifiable output rather than status updates alone.
- Should provide examples of prior coordination, project support, or administrative work, even if from internships or non-technical roles.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with ticketing or project management tools (Jira experience a plus, not required).
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum practices.
- Experience working with both US-based and international/EU teams or stakeholders.
- Interest in growing into a full project management role over time.
