Pay Rate: up to $39.45/hr on w2 (No C2C or 3rd parties)


Location: onsite in Foster City, CA


  • Helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a Software Developer in Test to support the development and maintenance of automated testing solutions for critical mobile applications.
  • In this role, you’ll help expand automated test coverage, reduce manual testing efforts, and support the reliability of mobile applications used by fleet operators and customers. You’ll work closely with software, infrastructure, and QA teams to develop automated tests, improve existing testing frameworks, and validate new functionality across iOS and Android platforms.
  • The ideal candidate is passionate about software quality, enjoys solving technical problems, and is eager to grow their skills in test automation and mobile application testing.


As a Software Developer in Test, you'll:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for iOS and Android applications.
  • Support the enhancement of existing mobile test automation frameworks and testing infrastructure.
  • Assist with the configuration and maintenance of device farms in Sauce Labs and CI/CD testing workflows.
  • Help develop backend mocking solutions to support more reliable and efficient mobile application testing.
  • Create and execute functional, integration, and regression test suites.
  • Investigate test failures, analyze results, and work with engineering teams to resolve issues.
  • Contribute to test coverage for new features, edge cases, and high-priority workflows.
  • Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, and infrastructure teams to improve testing efficiency and software quality.


Qualifications:

  • Strong programming skills in Python, Swift, Kotlin/Java
  • Strong hands-on experience on Kotlin Multiplatform and Saucelabs
  • Proven expertise with mobile app testing frameworks (XCUITest, Espresso, Compose and Appium)
  • Hands-on experience in API testing and test automation design patterns
  • Proficient with Testing tools like PyTest, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and JIRA Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, nginx Backend: Node.js, Express
