Job description

Description * Provide support to either Project Manager or mid-level/junior Engineering/Science personnel in the areas of scheduling, data gathering/limited analyses, database population, preparation of technical/project reports, test reports, and associated documentation
* Participate in test or project events as assigned by Project Manager or Engineering supervisor
* Report status and results
* Demonstrate proficiency with hand tools, soldering irons, and basic test equipment
* Assemble drone frames, motors, wiring systems, and electronic components according to detailed instructions and schematics
* Conduct functional tests, calibrations, and flight-readiness checks
* Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to mechanical assembly, electrical connections, and firmware configuration
* Document assembly procedures, test results, and any deviations or repairs
* Assist with prototype builds and iterative design improvements
* Maintain clean, organized workspaces and follow safety standards in handling tools and electronic components
* Other duties as assigned Requirements Education/Training: * High School diploma or equivalent required
* Associate's Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline preferred
Experience: * 1+ years of experience in required task area
* Experience with mechanical or electronic assembly (drone, RC, robotics, or similar preferred).
* Familiarity with flight controller configuration software (e.g., Betaflight, ArduPilot, PX4).
* Experience with 3D printing, CNC equipment, or composite materials.
* Understanding of UAV components (motors, ESCs, flight controllers, GPS modules, batteries) is a plus * Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions Security: * Must be a US citizen * Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required Physical Requirements: * Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, grasp and reach with hands and arms, handle and operate hand/power tools and machine controls
* Perform frequent wrist, hand, and finger movements
* Prolonged periods of standing while operating machinery
