Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Travel team, building and enhancing products that support travel insurance and the broader ecosystem of business capabilities around it. You’ll work on modern, full-stack applications, contributing to feature development, technical design, and continuous improvement within a cloud-based environment. As part of a self-sufficient, cross-functional team, you’ll collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and product partners to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions while driving outcomes that support both customer and business needs in the travel domain.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Development & Delivery

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications across frontend, backend, and database layers.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and frontend components.
  • Contribute to feature delivery from concept through production in a collaborative team environment.


Engineering Practices & Quality

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, including unit tests.
  • Participate in code reviews and uphold shared engineering standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve defects, performance issues, and application incidents.


Collaboration & Planning

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, and engineering peers to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Experience writing and maintaining unit tests as part of development workflows.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based application concepts and distributed systems.
  • Experience with containerization or similar deployment approaches is a plus.
  • Experience with version control systems.
  • Experience working in Agile environments with a basic understanding of Agile principles and practices.
  • Ability to contribute to both frontend and backend development depending on team and business needs.

The base salary range for this position in Stevens Point, WI is $70,000 to $95,000, along with annual bonus eligibility. Total compensation for a candidate is determined by their relevant skills, location, and experience.
