About the Role We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain complex non-embedded software systems across the full product lifecycle. This role supports system integrations and mission-critical applications, ensuring software solutions meet customer expectations, regulatory standards, and safety requirements. The ideal candidate has strong C++ development experience, working knowledge of hardware configurations, and exposure to Ada, with the ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines and influence software architecture and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain non-embedded software solutions across the end-to-end software lifecycle. Translate customer and system requirements into software architecture, designs, algorithms, and interfaces. * Develop, enhance, and optimize software products supporting complex system integrations.

Debug, analyze, and resolve software defects to ensure reliability, efficiency, and maintainability. Document and maintain software architecture, requirements, designs, and technical artifacts. * Respond to user inquiries, perform technical troubleshooting, and analyze customer feedback.

Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes relevant to software development. Develop and improve software processes, tools, and performance metrics aligned with organizational goals. * Execute and document software research and development initiatives.

Provide technical guidance on software domains, system-specific challenges, and regulatory considerations. Support software project management and software supplier management efforts. * Track and evaluate team and supplier performance to ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards.

Required Qualifications ACTIVE Secret security clearance Minimum 3 years of experience as a software developer Strong coding experience, with emphasis on C++ Working knowledge of hardware configurations and system interfaces Knowledge of Ada programming Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with mission planning or mission computing systems Operating Systems development experience Software and system integration experience Exposure to radar systems Aerospace or defense industry background Prior client experience or experience with similar organizations (e.g., Lockheed Martin or comparable companies) Education & Experience Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry Typically, 5+ years of related experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Master's + 3 years, PhD) An ACTIVE U.S. Government Security Clearance is Required to be considered for this role .
