Job Description:

Quevera is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Software Engineer – Part Time with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph to support mission-critical programs in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.

In this part-time role, you will support software development activities including software testing, technical documentation, Agile development, and quality control of developed and modified software. You will work with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and tools such as Jira and Confluence while supporting software development efforts.


Work Schedule:

  • Employment: Part Time.
  • Telework: Up to 16 hours per week. Telework hours are dependent on tasking for the sprint.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of test procedures for software components.
  • Generate technical documentation.
  • Work within an Agile development environment.
  • Support software development activities using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Utilize tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Ensure quality control of developed and modified software.
  • Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
  • Debug existing software and correct defects.
  • Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
  • Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
  • Develop data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
  • Write or review software and system documentation.
  • Develop or implement database or data repository interfaces and queries.
  • Develop or implement algorithms to meet system performance and functional standards.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve performance.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to documentation and software development process standards.
  • Ensure quality control of developed and modified software.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
  • Twenty (20) years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
    • Four (4) years of additional Software Engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience supporting the development and execution of test procedures for software components.
  • Experience generating technical documentation.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience ensuring quality control of developed and modified software.
