Job description

Location: 80% Remote – Candidate must live within 2 hours of a government facility.
Overview:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. (Green cards are not Eligible)
  • Must pass Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) / Medium-Risk federal agency security clearance.
  • Data is collected daily from multiple data sources with various data types.
  • The warehouse contains approximately 15 terabytes of data and collects approximately 30 - 40 gigabytes weekly.
  • The ideal candidate will support software development within a complex enterprise environment with ASP.net and VB.net, providing accelerated, accurate solution delivery across multiple simultaneous active projects.
  • Hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and support the project's Web applications per the client’s request.
  • Comprehensive Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) understanding.
  • Demonstrated success in tailoring corporate-level SDLC to follow customer SDLC.
  • Write VB.Net code which is scalable, modularized and reusable.
  • Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain code and web pages created from scratch using VB.Net and various components of the .NET Framework.
  • Use Team Foundation Server (TFS) to track web development tasks.
  • Adhere to coding requirements and guidelines.
  • Use IBM Engineering Workforce Management (EWM) for code versioning.
  • Participate in code and application peer reviews.
  • Gather and document business requirements as it relates to the web application.
  • Support the design, development, and deployment of a modernized website.
  • Actively participate in daily Kanban meetings.
  • Support the project team by identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues with the web application.
  • Use .NET Framework to create software solutions that meet the clients’ requirements.
  • Collaborate with the SQL Developer, Development Team, and Business Analysts to ensure all business requirements are being met.
  • Conduct extensive application testing to ensure defect-free products.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Prepare configuration documents, test plans and additional documentation as needed.

Skills Requirement:
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Visual Studio in an enterprise environment.
  • 2+ years of experience using .Net and or .Net Core (VB.Net preferred).
  • Knowledge of front-end components (HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, XML, etc.).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to conform to current processes and procedures.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to figure out unknown issues.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow directions to ensure client's goals are met.
  • Ability to adapt to new environments and assimilate information quickly.
  • Work independently and with a team on multiple tasks with multiple deadlines.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server or similar relational database a plus.
  • Knowledge of Classic ASP a plus.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence Software a plus.
