Hendrick Motorsports is growing its presence in the defense industry with a focus on advanced ground vehicle development. We're looking for a Mechanical Engineering Design Intern (PartTime) to join our team and work on impactful, hands-on projects that strengthen national security.

What You'll Do:

  • Support design and testing of automotive structures and components.
  • Develop CAD models, drawings, and design documentation.
  • Assist with shop activities, prototype builds, and PLM data entry.
  • Help investigate system issues and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineers to evaluate designs for performance, cost, and feasibility.

What We're Looking For:

  • Current full-time student pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
  • Sophomore or junior standing preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Available to work 15+ hours per week during the semester.
  • Strong interest in automotive systems and hands-on engineering.
