Job description

E-logic is looking for an analytical and highly motivated Junior Security Engineer to join our team to support Internal Revenue Services. You will receive hands-on mentorship from senior personnel while providing essential support in managing platform security health, audit trails, and baseline vulnerability mitigation.


Key Responsibilities


  • Monitor central security dashboards, log aggregators, and SIEM alerts daily to triage potential configuration anomalies or security events.
  • Assist in managing Identity and Access Management (IAM) lifecycle operations, including tenant user provisioning, multi-factor authentication enforcement, and regular privilege reviews.
  • Collect, organize, and format technical security artifacts required for compliance packages and audit checks.
  • Assist systems administrators and cloud engineers in tracking patch schedules, verifying container image updates, and clearing low-to-medium risk vulnerability findings.


Qualifications & Experience


  • 1-3 years of experience in an IT or basic security role (interships/co-ops count).
  • Basic familiarity with cloud security principles, network protocols, and standard security frameworks (NIST, CIS).
  • Security+, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or similar entry-level certificates are a major plus.
  • US Citizenship required; must be eligible for Public Trust clearance.
