As a Senior Risk Assessor, you will play a key role in strengthening WSP's risk management practice across Canada. You will guide clients through complex challenges, deliver highimpact assessments, and shape innovative approaches-while mentoring the next generation of risk practitioners. This position is open to candidates located anywhere in Canada.

Your Impact
  • Conduct technical risk assessments leveraging HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, MAA, QRA, and related methodologies.
  • Support the development of Hazard Risk and Vulnerability Assessments (HRVAs) and Wildfire Strategies.
  • Deliver clear, actionable reports that enable clients to mitigate and manage risks effectively.
  • Facilitate and coordinate engaging workshops to identify hazards, resolve challenges, and build consensus across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Mentor and train junior and intermediate assessors as part of their professional development journey.
  • Develop and refine tools, processes, and methodologies that improve risk analysis and reporting.
  • Explore innovative approaches-including naturallanguagedriven insights-to enhance how risk information is generated and communicated.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, contributing to WSP's reputation for reliability, expertise, and excellence.

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • 5-8 years of experience in risk management, emergency management, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong foundation in risk methodologies including HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, MAA, and quantitative techniques such as fault tree and event tree analysis.
  • Experience supporting HRVA development and Wildfire Strategy initiatives.
  • Skilled facilitator with experience guiding groups toward shared outcomes.
  • Demonstrated leadership in training, coaching, and developing others.
  • Additional assets: engineering accreditation, PMP designation, geotechnical experience, or business continuity planning knowledge.
  • A proactive, innovative mindset with a focus on highquality delivery.

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $104,100 - $138,000
MB & ON: $95,000 - $130,800
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $94,100 - $124,900
