Your Role:


The Junior Compliance Analyst supports the company's regulatory compliance and anti-money laundering (AML) program.

This role is responsible for conducting compliance reviews, assisting with FINTRAC requirements, investigating and filing Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs), supporting internal and external audits, and helping ensure adherence to regulatory and internal policy requirements across the organization.

This role provides an opportunity to build a career in compliance, risk management, and regulatory oversight within a growing mortgage lending organization.

Must-Haves:


  • 1 - 3 years experience in compliance, AML, financial services, mortgage lending, banking, audit, or a related field.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Law, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Knowledge of FINTRAC and AML requirements is considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and investigative skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Critical thinking and an ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to act with integrity and professionalism.
  • Proven experience in
    risk assessment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


The Job:


  • Review mortgage applications and transactions for compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Investigate unusual or suspicious activity and prepare and submit Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) to FINTRAC.
  • Assist with the administration of the company's AML/ATF compliance program.
  • Conduct periodic compliance reviews and identify deficiencies or areas of risk.
  • Support FINTRAC examinations, regulatory audits, lender audits, and internal compliance reviews.
  • Maintain compliance records, reporting logs, and audit documentation.
  • Assist with updating policies, procedures, and compliance-related documentation.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and communicate impacts to the business.
  • Support compliance training initiatives and track employee completion.
  • Prepare compliance reports and assist with remediation activities.
