RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is seeking a Junior Project Manager for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity with one of our clients in Schiller Park, IL. This hybrid role is ideal for a junior or early mid-level professional eager to grow in the project management space.
Summary:
The selected candidate will support the day-to-day operations of the IT Strategy & Development team, assisting with documentation, process support, and light BA/QA responsibilities. This is a highly collaborative environment where team fit, communication skills, and adaptability are valued more than years of experience.
The role offers hands-on learning, mentorship, and exposure to both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies - making it a great launchpad for someone early in their project management career.
REQUIREMENTS:
* 0-3 years of professional experience in a related role (Project Coordinator, PM support, BA, QA, etc.)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Quick learner with the ability to adapt and think on your feet
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Willingness to take on operational tasks and -grunt work- to support senior team members
* Comfortable working hybrid: Onsite Tuesday-Thursday in either Schiller Park, IL or Coppell, TX
* Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Nice-to-Have:
* Certifications (e.g., PMP, CAPM) are a plus but not required
* Up to 3-5 years of experience is acceptable but not expected
* Exposure to project management concepts or hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments
* Familiarity with tools like Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
