Job Description
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Perform application engineering and prepare drawings and bills of materials for assigned projects requested by company branches.
  • Estimating work load to establish completion dates and backlog.
  • In cooperation with Branch Manager and Sales Representatives, select the appropriate equipment relative to customer needs and available inventory. With assistance from Corporate Engineer/Manager, provide timely technical assistance and solutions to branches through telephone, e-mail, drawings, bill of material support and site visits.
  • Perform all engineering services in accordance with accepted engineering practices and federal, state and local codes and regulations. Ensure full compliance of all projects with company-wide engineering practices and procedures.
  • With assistance from Corporate Engineer/manager, verify and ensure that all technical drawings, calculations, bills of material and other applicable project documents are current, accurate and complete.
  • Provide field technical supervision and/or training at branches' request.
  • Performs various Engineering tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • B.S. Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • 2-4 years project engineering experience in a fast paced work environment.
  • Completion FE exam (EIT status) preferred.
  • Strong desire to learn and work in the construction industry. (Willing to complete PE)
  • Proficient in 3D AutoCAD and Finite Element/Structual Analysis software.
  • Up to 25% travel within the U.S. and Canada.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service orientated.
