Junior Project Designer

Reports To: Showroom Manager

Summary

The Junior Project Designer supports the design and sales teams in managing projects, preparing quotes and drawings, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure projects move smoothly from concept to installation.

This role is ideal for an early-career design professional who is passionate about architecture, interiors, and design excellence. The Junior Project Designer assists with project documentation, showroom presentations, and installation coordination while developing a strong understanding of luxury furniture systems and client service.

The role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a willingness to learn within a fast-paced, design-driven environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in managing existing client orders, including approvals, delivery updates, and maintaining accurate information in the POS system.

Support the creation of quotes and invoices under the guidance of the Project Designer and Sales Consultant.

Act as a communication support liaison between clients, the design team, and the customer service department to ensure information flows efficiently.

Assist during installations at job sites, helping ensure projects are executed according to plan and supporting installers when needed.

Prepare floorplans, elevations, and basic drawings under the supervision of senior designers and architects.

Assist with systems drawings using brand-specific design software.

Help prepare graphic presentations and visual materials for client meetings and showroom presentations.

Support the design team with furniture and finish selections, product research, and project documentation.

Visit job sites when needed to take measurements and assist with project documentation.

Maintain company standards and design presentation quality across all deliverables.

Provide general administrative and design support to the design and sales teams as needed.


Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, or a related field preferred.

0–2 years of professional experience in interior design, architecture, furniture design, or a related field.

Internship or showroom experience is a plus.


Skills

Basic to intermediate proficiency in design software (AutoCAD)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with designers, sales consultants, and clients.

Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Professional demeanor when interacting with clients, vendors, and team members.

Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
