Junior Project Engineer

Named the #1 electric vehicle (EV) installer in America, we take pride in having deployed more than 14,000 EV chargers and completed approximately 5 megawatts (MW) of solar energy projects.

As an EVITP (Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program) certified turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm, we leverage our in-house expertise to efficiently manage and execute large-scale projects. Our dedication to sustainability and quality extends beyond project completion; we also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services to ensure optimal performance for the projects we develop, as well as for third-party installations.

Position Overview: Green Water and Power is looking for a Junior Project Engineer to join our team. The Junior Project Engineer supports Senior Project Engineers by coordinating tasks, tracking schedules, managing documentation, and bridging communication between technical teams and site personnel to ensure projects finish on time and within budget. 

Duties and Requirements:

  • Professional exemption
  • EV and PV system design; including creating full plan sets using AutoCAD
  • Ensuring project compliance with electrical code, utility, and rebate program requirements.
  • Monitor EV charger and PV system production
  • Site Audits and reviews
  • Support construction with electrical equipment and code knowledge
  • Photometric lighting design
  • Indoor lighting design/Title 24
  • Submit plans for city or utility approval
  • Creating single line diagrams
  • ETAP and e-QUEST software
  • Voltage drop calculations
  • Wire and conduit sizing

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or any related field of study
  • Demonstratable proficiency, skill, experience, or knowledge with the following:
    • AutoCAD
    • Load studies and calculations
    • Fault Current Analysis
    • Electrical power system design
    • Renewable energy system components and implementation
    • Solar System Design
    • NEC Code knowledge
