Overview
JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Practice Technology Analyst supports the evaluation, implementation, and ongoing optimization of legal technology platforms across practice groups, with particular emphasis on AI-powered tools and practice efficiency solutions. This role operates with greater independence than the Analyst position, taking ownership of specific technology support areas, conducting more complex troubleshooting, and helping to develop training and support resources. The Senior Analyst contributes to technology evaluations and pilot programs while serving as a resource for junior team members.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Independently support and troubleshoot practice technology platforms, resolving complex technical issues and escalating only when necessary.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and testing of emerging legal technology platforms, including generative AI solutions, providing detailed feedback and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, user guides, quick reference cards, and knowledge base articles for practice technology platforms.
  • Assist with user training sessions for practice technology solutions, including preparation and delivery of training content.
  • Monitor technology adoption rates and system usage, analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for increased engagement.
  • Support pilot programs by coordinating logistics, gathering user feedback, and documenting outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and support procedures.
  • Serve as a resource for junior team members, helping to onboard new Analysts and sharing knowledge of platforms and processes.
  • Stay current with legal technology trends and developments through research, professional development, and industry engagement.
  • Participate in technology demonstrations and awareness sessions for practice groups, helping to communicate platform capabilities and value.
  • Coordinate with technology vendors regarding support issues, feature requests, and platform updates.
  • Comply with department and firm administrative procedures and policies.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a law firm or legal technology environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting legal software applications such as contract analysis tools, document automation platforms, or practice management systems.
  • Familiarity with generative AI legal technology platforms and their application in legal workflows.
  • Solid understanding of legal workflows and practice group needs.
  • Strong technical aptitude with demonstrated ability to quickly learn and support new software platforms.
  • Experience developing user-facing documentation, training materials, or knowledge base content.
  • Basic understanding of data analytics concepts and ability to interpret usage metrics.

Compensation and Total Rewards Package

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.
Boston, Chicago, Washington, D.C., & Los Angeles: $117,200 - $178,700
New York City: $127,900 - $195,000
Working Conditions
This position requires hybrid on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Consistent and predictable on-site presence is required for ongoing business continuity, professional development and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
