Job Summary:
Collects, analyzes, and interprets operational data to improve distribution performance and support data-driven decision-making. Focuses on executing well-defined analytic work with growing autonomy. This involves creating new analyses, and dashboards, or updating more complex dashboards/reporting. The role develops reports, KPIs, dashboards, and analytical tools using SQL and data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI. This position collaborates closely with management and business partners to define analytical requirements, recommend solutions, and communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong analytical reasoning, data storytelling, and attention to data quality are essential. This role provides mentorship to junior analysts.
Responsibilities
  • Collect, cleanse, transform, and analyze large operational datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau Desktop or similar tools.
  • Apply statistical and analytical techniques to perform descriptive, diagnostic, and trend-based analysis.
  • Translate business questions into structured analytical approaches and clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Validate and quality-check data sources, queries, and visualizations to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand operational needs and deliver analytical solutions aligned with business priorities.
  • Support the implementation of improved reporting methodologies, automation, or analytical tools.
  • Maintain documentation and adhere to established departmental, IT, and project management standards.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple analytical requests in alignment with business objectives and timelines.
  • The role progresses through impact, autonomy, and analytical complexity, as well as ability to handle sensitive information.

Travel:
Occasional travel may be required (5-10%+ annually). This is an on-site position requiring daily in-office attendance Monday through Friday, and as needed.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required (Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Math, Cyber Security, Information Technology, etc.), or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience with Tableau or PowerBI required.
  • Preferred experience in a warehouse setting or manufacturing.
  • 1-3+ years of experience in SQL, including queries, joins, transformations, and data aggregation.
  • 1-3+ years of experience with Tableau Desktop, PowerBI, or equivalent data visualization tools.
  • Entry-level to moderate experience performing data analysis and reporting, and utilizing analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and SharePoint.
  • Ability to follow standardized processes related to project management, data governance, and IT security.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred:
  • Experience with Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Oracle GoldenGate, DBeaver, etc.
  • Experience with Tableau Prep, Alteryx, or similar data preparation tools.
  • Experience using Python or R for analytics or automation.
  • Experience working within a team, and with other teams or departments.

Work Environment:
  • Normal warehouse and office environment with some exposure to dust, heat, and cold.
  • May include prolonged sitting in front of a computer.
