Job Summary:


This position will support the Senior Financial Analysts in conjunction with Plant Controllers in the direct supervision of the day-to-day general accounting functions and coordination of the month-end closing process, and the daily/weekly monthly financial reporting. Assist in the development of financial plans and forecasts, and the analysis of operational results. Prime day-to-day responsibility will be cost accounting; monitor and report inventories, standard cost revisions, and the operating budget and forecast will be key responsibilities.


Roles:


  • Assist with General Accounting functions such as financial reporting, fixed assets management, inter-company accounting, and daily expense analysis.
  • Assist with month-end closing, including preparing and posting of journal entries, reconciling monthly ledger accounts, and helping establish accounting policies and procedures.
  • Assist in monitoring and managing the Raw material, work-in-progress, and Finished goods inventory.
  • Assist in establishing and monitoring the standard cost for each product and monitor MRP reports like Inventory, cost absorptions, and variances. Manage and analyze standard costs, BOM and routers.
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly business review and Business Unit Staff meeting packages.
  • Assist in financial, internal, and governmental audits to maintain compliance.
  • Perform a monthly testing of internal controls, including SOX controls, using Audit and self-assessed tools (ASAT) to ensure compliance with corporate standards and document observations using an online portal. 
  • Assist the local finance team in monthly/quarterly/annual forecasting/budgeting as needed.
  • Provide budget and project analysis for capital expenditure. 
  • Participate in the company's continuous improvement projects to assist in identifying opportunities and implementing cost-saving objectives.
  • Assist on special projects for plant, division & corporate management.


Knowledge and Skills:


  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, managerial skills, self-motivated, and team-oriented skills. 
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP, with solid analytical and strategic planning skills. 
  • Must be proficient with computer systems and have excellent Excel skills.
  • Good communication skills, flexible, and a strong desire to learn.

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting is required
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Familiar with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint
