Position Summary Techwood Precision is hiring a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our low‐volume, fast‐paced job shop and repair shop. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‐on problem‐solving, thrives in a dynamic environment, and wants to grow quickly by working directly with experienced machinists, fabricators, and engineers.
You’ll support custom machining projects, repairs, reverse engineering, and continuous improvement efforts—all while learning the full lifecycle of precision manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical design support for custom parts and repairs
- Reverse engineering of worn or damaged components
- Hands‐on collaboration with machinists and technicians
- CAD drafting and modeling for parts and assemblies
- Quality checks on tolerances, fits, and finishes
- Project documentation including drawings and repair notes
- Supporting workflow and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 2+ years experience in reverse engineering required
- Minimum 2 years in machining preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn
- Basic proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, etc.)
- Ability to work in a fast‐paced, changing environment
- Willingness to work up to 50 hours/week, including some nights/weekends
