Job description

Mechanical Engineer 

Job Purpose:

Supporting the design of refrigerators and their mechanical components in line with market requirements and new technologies

Experience: 

  • Professional experience in the role or similar: > 3 years
  • Management experience: preferably in multinational context, with similar dimensions
  • Highest Education Level*: Degree in mechanical engineering

Key Responsibilities:

For Cabinet and Walk In Cold Rooms R&D:

  • Design the product layout and structure in accordance to the functional and dimensional features of each component. 

  • Drawings (2D and 3D) of metalsheet or still pipe frame, layout of the components, parts, piping, electrical wiring, P&I ...

  • Document the product design with Drawings, Bill Of Material and other Technical Documentation;

  • Design the circuit and select the components of the cabinets with a focus on energy efficiency and ecology and in compliance to Regulatory (applicable law and technical standards) 

  • Taking care of the collection of specifications by agreeing with the project team

  • Helping to identify innovative technological solutions

  • Supporting the Financial Department to calculate the product cost

For Packs and Condesing Units R&D:

  • Be responsible for the selection of refrigeration equipment (power packs, condensers, evaporators, heat exchangers) and the design of the refrigeration system.

  • Design the circuit and select the components of the cabinets with a focus on energy efficiency and ecology and in compliance to Regulatory (applicable law and technical standards) 

  • Sizing the main system components and assessing their design alternatives.

  • Document the product design with Drawings, Bill Of Material and other Technical Documentation;
