Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer II who thrives in a collaborative, hands-on engineering environment. In this role, working closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product Line Management, and Engineering Support, you will help ensure reliable and scalable test solutions across a broad portfolio of discrete, MMIC, and GaN RF and microwave products.
  • Design, upgrade, and maintain automated test stations, fixtures, and interfaces
  • Develop and maintain the associated test software and data structures
  • Design or select test fixtures, sockets and interface PCB's
  • Design test interface hardware
  • Evaluate, select, and procure test equipment and software solutions that provide the most effective and cost-efficient support for production and engineering needs
  • This role also offers opportunities to mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members. Demonstrated experience mentoring, coaching, or guiding technical staff is highly valued and may support future leadership growth opportunities, though formal people-management responsibilities are not required for this position

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline
  • 7.5 - 9 years of experience in software development using LabWindows/CVI, C, Microsoft Visual Studio, .NET, or Visual Basic
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring, coaching, or providing technical guidance to junior engineers or team members
  • Experience with Configuration Management principles and tools
  • Working Knowledge of electronic systems with a strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to design and interpret electrical circuits and schematics
  • Proven experience with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and root-cause analysis of technical systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering/design tools such as AutoCAD, Altium, or similar schematic and PCB layout software
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, vendors, and equipment manufacturers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical concepts, data, and engineering reports to team members and stakeholders
Preferred Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline, with 5 -6 years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience with database design, management, or data storage systems
  • Working experience with Linux-bases systems and environments
  • Familiarity with communication and instrumentation protocols such as GPIB, USB, and Ethernet
  • Understanding of IP networking concepts, including configuration, addressing, and routing
  • Experience using remote access and terminal tools such as PuTTY, VNC, and Remote Desktop
  • Experience with Git version control in both Windows and Linux environments
  • Experience with PCB design, layout, and fabrication processes
  • Hands-on experience using RF test and measurement equipment, such as network analyzers, oscilloscopes, and signal generators, etc.
