Job Summary

Responsible for counter sales and customer relations. Respond to escalated issues from customers.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Serves as point of contact for escalation issues. Interacts with customers to manage any issues and resolve problems.
  • Provides training and support to new counter staff.
  • Processes orders, quotes prices, enters orders into the system and provides order information to customers. Pull will call orders as required.
  • Acts as liaison between warehouse supervisor and customers.
  • Ensures will call orders are completed.
  • Upsells by identifying related products, add-on extensions and making customers aware of product promotion
  • Ensures merchandise displays are stocked and clean.

Nature and Scope

  • May modify processes to resolve situations.
  • Under limited supervision, relies on experience and exercises independent judgment to determine best approach to achieve desired outcomes. Course of action is often determined by interpreting procedures and policies. Work typically involves periodic review of output by supervisor or direct "customers" of the process
  • Is sought out and/or assigned to provide general guidance/direction, training, and technical assistance to junior level support personnel. Contributes to employees professional development but does not have hiring/firing authority.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen years of age
  • Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable

Preferred Qualifications

  • Warehouse experience preferred.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in customer service, selling or related field.
  • Experience using sales order computer software, familiarity with Eclipse.
  • Knowledge of Core & Main product lines.
