Compensation Range:

$14.42 - $14.42

Position Summary:

Hiring compensation: $14.42 per hour

Job Summary:

Monitors and coordinates the activities of and provides support and assistance to assigned biology laboratories to enable effective and safe lab operations.

This part-time position will not exceed 29 working hours per week. This position requires flexibility in the work schedule from term to term to fulfill the needs of the department.

Job Duties:

  • Assists the full-time Lab staff with preparing all materials and equipment for lab exercises.

  • Maintains the organization, cleanliness and security of the chemistry stockroom, prep areas and adjoining labs.

  • Performs other similar and related duties

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Successfully completed organic chemistry and microbiology with at least an associate's degree and are in at least junior level classes at a local college or university

  • With a good working knowledge of basic biology/microbiology lab procedures and safety protocols.
