Job Description We are seeking a Principal Java/J2EE Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java/J2EE, AWS cloud services, Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code, and web services and a proven ability to design, build, and deliver scalable, secure enterprise applications while leading teams and driving architecture. Responsibilities: Lead design, development, and implementation of complex enterprise applications using Java/J2EE.

Architect and implement solutions leveraging AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, and API Gateway. Design, develop, and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform for provisioning and managing AWS resources. Develop and consume RESTful web services with attention to performance, security, and scalability.

Provide technical leadership and foster best practices in software development and architecture. Collaborate with product owners, architects, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and plans. Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote continuous learning.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production systems. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend tools and practices to improve delivery. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

9+ years of Java/J2EE development for enterprise applications. Expert proficiency in Java and Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring Security. Extensive experience with AWS and cloud-native architectures.

Proven experience designing and implementing Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code. Demonstrable expertise with RESTful and SOAP web services. Strong understanding of microservices architecture, patterns, and best practices.

Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and DynamoDB. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and agile methodologies. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills: Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging patterns. Hands-on with containerization and orchestration such as Docker and Kubernetes. Why BCforward?
