Job description

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Leadlevel Asset/Inventory Control Analyst to support missioncritical logistics and asset management operations across our national security portfolio. In this senior role, you will oversee the full lifecycle of equipment, materials, and governmentfurnished property (GFP) within secure environments. You will provide expert guidance, lead inventory control processes, and ensure accuracy, accountability, and compliance with contractual, customer, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead subject matter expert for inventory control, asset management, and logistics tracking across assigned programs.
  • Oversee endtoend inventory processes including acquisition, receipt, barcoding, tracking, storage, distribution, reconciliation, and disposal.
  • Maintain 100% accountability for all mission equipment and materials in TS/SCI facilities in accordance with federal regulations and customer policies.
  • Develop, implement, and refine inventory control procedures, SOPs, and workflow improvements to strengthen accuracy and efficiency.
  • Lead physical inventory audits, spot checks, and property reconciliation activities; prepare detailed reports for program and customer leadership.
  • Manage inventory databases, asset management systems, and secure tracking tools; identify and resolve discrepancies proactively.
  • Coordinate with Security, Engineering, Program Management, and Logistics teams to ensure proper handling and tracking of sensitive and classified materials.
  • Provide expert recommendations for process enhancements, automation tools, and data-driven reporting capabilities.
  • Train and mentor junior inventory personnel; provide guidance on compliance, documentation, and best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to customer requirements, contractual obligations, FAR/DFARS property management standards, and Peraton corporate policies.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level summaries on inventory status, risks, shortages, and corrective actions.
  • Conducts supply chain and logistics functions that may include, but are not limited to, material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection, and distribution.

  • Creates integrated processes among internal functions and outside suppliers, focuses resources on continuous improvement of materials through various production phases.

  • Ensures that inventories are secure, properly identified and readily accessible to authorized personnel.

  • Maintains control over numerous types of inventories including, but not limited to, raw materials and finished goods.

  • Conducts physical inventory counts and reconciles results with records on hand.

  • Ensures quantities of both incoming and outgoing shipments are accurate with reports and conducts analyses of inventory levels and coordinates with appropriate departments to ensure appropriate levels of raw materials or finished goods are on hand.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Requires a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • 5 years with BS/BA; four additional years can be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 4+ years of inventory control, asset management, supply chain, or logistics experience within government or intelligence community programs.
  • Proven experience leading inventory accountability activities in secure or classified environments.
  • Strong understanding of inventory systems, property accounting, and government-furnished property standards.
  • Excellent documentation, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and maintain accuracy in fastpaced mission environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community programs.
  • Familiarity with FAR, DFARS, and government property management regulations.
  • Experience with secure asset tracking systems, automated inventory tools, and digital logistics solutions.
  • Prior Peraton experience or familiarity with Peraton's mission support structure.

Target Salary Range$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
