Trustpoint is proud to partner with an Am Law 100 law firm in their search for a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join their team in Denver, Detroit, or Minneapolis. This is a direct hire opportunity offering the chance to support high-level financial operations in a collaborative, client-focused environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, advanced technical skills, and experience working within complex financial systems, preferably in a professional services setting.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and prepare detailed financial reports and analyses using accounting systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including management reporting, financial statement analysis, compensation analysis, and ad hoc projects
  • Support firm departments with completion of external surveys and reporting requirements
  • Partner closely with FP&A leadership to support team priorities and act as a resource to junior analysts
  • Manage and execute ad hoc analyses and special projects from initiation through completion
  • Develop subject matter expertise in the firm's financial systems and overall financial operations
  • Utilize tools such as Excel, Power Query, SQL, and Tableau to deliver accurate and timely financial insights
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • 7+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis or related field
  • Strong expertise in accounting systems, financial reporting, and data analysis
  • Prior experience in a professional services or law firm environment preferred
  • Experience writing complex database queries and working with SQL and business intelligence tools
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Power Query, pivot tables, formulas, macros, and data visualization
  • CPA certification is a plus but not required
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret and summarize complex financial data
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information across multiple levels of an organization
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
  • Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills and a customer service-oriented approach
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed to meet deadlines

Compensation:
  • Salary is expected to be between $90,000 - $115,000 annually, commensurate with experience
