We are seeking an experienced SAP Business Analyst to serve as a functional subject matter expert supporting our finance operations in Mission Systems. This support role is critical to ensuring seamless SAP system functionality for our Aerospace and Defense business. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business users and technical teams, providing expert guidance on SAP best practices while ensuring compliance with government contract requirements and industry regulations.

** This is a hybrid-based position in Puerto Rico, must reside in Puerto Rico

What YOU will do:

  • Serve as functional subject matter expert for SAP finance processes, delivering end-user support and ensuring alignment with organizational policies and government contract requirements.

  • Develop and deliver training materials, process documentation and standard operating procedures to support continuous improvement and system adoption.

  • Sustain SAP operations through issue resolution, system change validation, knowledge base management; Identify and help resolve recurring problems.

  • Support enterprise finance digital initiatives on behalf of Mission Systems, assisting with implementation activities such as requirements gathering, testing, training, and Go Live support.

  • Participate in the SAP S/4HANA transformation project as necessary to support successful deployment for finance workstreams within the Mission Systems organization.

Qualifications YOU Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.

  • U.S. citizenship is required.

  • Experience with grouping, pegging, and distribution (GPD).

  • 5+ years of hands-on SAP ERP experience in finance.

  • Proven experience providing SAP end-user support and troubleshooting in a functional analyst capacity.

  • Knowledge of finance processes and their integration with contracts, planning, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and logistics functions.

  • Experience with SAP project systems (PS), including understanding of valuated and non-valuated cost flows.

  • Ability to investigate and identify root cause of grouping, pegging, and distribution (GPD) related problems, including understanding of unexpected cost shifts, excess inventory balances, and the use of Breakpoints to manage pegging assignments.

  • Deep knowledge of how daily operations in planning, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and logistics impact GPD pegging assignments and affect cost collection

  • Experience with SAP revenue recognition in Project Systems as well as commercial

  • Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RaR) environments.

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to diagnose complex business process issues and deliver effective solutions.

  • Aerospace and Defense industry experience with knowledge of government contracting requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Knowledge of earned value and earned value applications.

  • Familiarity with SAP FI and CO.

  • Familiarity with month end closing processes including Results Analysis and project/order settlement.

  • Understanding of SAP finance security roles, transactional authorization, and approval authority.

  • Understanding of Export Control regulations (ITAR/EAR).

  • Project management experience.

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
