Job description

Junior Level Piping Designer

Duration: 2-3 months (potential to be longer if increase in workload)

We are looking for a 5-year Junior Level Pipe Designer. The duration 2-3 months, this depends on our workload. We cannot guarantee duration on this position and want to be transparent.

For the Junior Level Pipe Designer candidate, we’re looking for someone:

· Self-motivated and can perform key tasks with some supervision

· This is a remote/hybrid position, therefore when remote, aggressive and effective communication skills with the Mechanical group and other disciplines is required utilizing primarily Microsoft Teams. When hybrid, we will ask that the candidate come into the office at least once a week if not more.

· Ability to quickly integrate with a lean Mechanical engineering and design group with multiple concurrent projects and priorities

· Takes ownership, responsibility, and pride for their deliverables with regards to schedule, budget, and quality

· Quickly conforms to client’s drafting standards, practices, and norms

· Piping layout experience

· Isometrics experience

· Piping BOM’s and extracting

· Assist Sr. Designers in drafting and 3D Modeling

· Assist Sr. Designers in extracting and drafting drawings from 3D Models

· Update 3D Model changes and drawings instructed by Sr. Designers and Project Engineers

· Understands Xref set up and processes

· Understands Paper Space and Model space set up

· Understands General Arrangement layouts and set up

· Produce Piping design deliverables

· Familiar with equipment items and piping materials

· Understands the operation and function of all engineering disciplines and to properly coordinate while on a project

· Onshore experience

· Offshore experience (Optional)

· Walkdown experience – As-Built, P&ID (Optional)

· Highly proficient with AutoCAD

· CADWorx Plant Professional experience Preferred

· CADWorx Equipment knowledgeable

· CADWorx P&ID (Optional)
