Dewberry is currently seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager to join our Raleigh, NC office. Typical projects involve utility design, pump station design, inflow and infiltration studies, hydraulic modeling, collection system condition assessment and design, water distribution and storage, with opportunities to engage on treatment projects including process performance evaluation and process design. The Senior Project Manager will have technical, project management, and market access responsibilities to lead water / wastewater design projects for municipal and private clients. This person will manage and leverage client relationships to position Dewberry to perform large and complex water/wastewater projects. The Senior Project Manager will work as a peer with other water/wastewater practitioners throughout the company to provide technical expertise to a range of projects. With support from the enterprise, successful candidate will be capable of participating in business development activities, pursuing new clients, and maintaining active engagement in the market.
The candidate will have management responsibilities for junior engineers including direct reports and technical mentorship opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Management of water and wastewater design projects.
  • Pump station design, inflow and infiltration studies, hydraulic modeling, collection system condition assessment and design, water distribution and storage, with potential opportunities to engage on treatment projects.
  • Lead and facilitate engineering design staff.
  • Work with design team across multiple offices and multiple disciplines to generate detailed design documents for construction plans.
  • Meet client deadlines and project budgets.
  • Participate in business development activities including collaborating with our team in the marketing of new projects, proposal preparation, and client relationship management.

Required Skills & Required Experience
  • B.S. degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field.
  • NC Professional Engineering license.
  • 10+ years' experience with increasing levels of project responsibilities for public sector water and wastewater projects.
  • Successful track record of maintaining relationships with clients in the Raleigh market.
  • Extensive technical experience in the design of wastewater conveyance systems and pump stations, water distribution and storage, and treatment.
  • General knowledge of AutoCAD, and Civil 3D. Experience with Microstation is a plus.
  • A successful track record of managing projects, including scope, schedule and budget.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
