Catalis serves both private practices and large dental service organizations (DSOs), combining local laboratory relationships with the resources and consistency of a national platform. The company operates a growing multistate footprint through its integrated lab network, including locations across Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Texas, and Utah.

Position Summary

This role is part of a new Digital Design Center in Huntsville, Alabama. You'll be joining a growing team at the ground level with the opportunity to help shape how we work.  The Junior Dental CAD/CAM Designer supports the design and development of digital dental restorations using CAD/CAM technology.  This entry-level role is ideal for an individual with foundational experience in dental design who is eager to continue developing technical skills through hands-on training and mentorship.  The Junior Designer works under the guidance of experienced CAD/CAM designers to create accurate, high-quality digital models while learning best practices, workflows, and quality standards.  The Junior Designer is expected to grow in independence over time, progressively taking on more complex cases as skills and confidence develop. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Design restorations under supervision of senior designers
  • Work primarily on standard single-unit and bridge cases, progressing to more complex designs over time
  • Learn and follow established design protocols and quality standards
  • Flag questions or prescription issues to senior designers before proceeding
  • Maintain organized digital files within the workflow system
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Combination of dental experience and general computer knowledge required. Minimum of 1 year experience in dental CAD/CAM design or a completed dental design training program preferred. 
  • Working knowledge of EXOCAD or 3Shape preferred
  • Basic understanding of dental anatomy, occlusion, and tooth morphology
  • Familiarity with digital scan files and STL format
  • Willingness to learn and accept feedback as this role involves daily mentorship and review
