Jr. Application Developer 

You are a Jr. Application Developer with a desire to join an innovative technical team. You have a background in C#,.Net  and the ability to apply the principle of Object- Oriented Programming. You are curious, creative and enthusiastic problem solver. You seek an opportunity to use your current skills and cultivate your desire to grow your expertise while you help solve challenging software application problems. Verdant, located in Southlake, TX is seeking a Jr. Application Developer to join our team, delivering top notch-business applications that provide significant value to our customers. This role can be remote anywhere in the United States but we can accommodate onsite as well! 

As a Jr. Application Developer for Verdant, you will use your existing foundation of technology while getting opportunities to grow and evolve your technical toolbox. You will be responsible for growing your OOP skillset as you maintaining and modify existing C# and Java code using provided examples and reference architectures.

In this job you will: 

  • Working under the guidance of senior developers, the Staff Developer will:

  • Modify and extend existing C# using provided examples and reference architectures

  • Modify and extend SQL and NoSQL queries

  • Write C# code to consume and provide RESTful web services and APIs.

  • Write effective unit tests using provided examples

  • Accept assignments from project manager, development manager, or team lead

Qualifications

You bring to the table: 

  • AA/BA/BS degree in Computer Science, MIS, Math, Engineering, or other technical discipline before the start date of the job. 

  • Hands-on experience in C#, .NET (.NET Core a plus), SQL programming, and markup languages such as HTML5. Classroom study and personal projects are valid experience provided the candidate can demonstrate the ability to code independently.

  • Able to discuss and apply the principles of Object-Oriented Programming and Design, Services-Oriented Architecture, Inversion of Control (dependency injection), REST, and database normalization.

  •  Curious, creative, and enthusiastic problem solver

  • Comfortable working in a highly collaborative team environment

Desired Qualification

                   

                     Understanding of Serverless Computing (BaaS, FaaS, AWS Lambda)

                     Understanding of the developer's role in CI/CD DevOps practices
