Job description

As a Junior Civil Engineer, you'll be instrumental in supporting project teams by leading design efforts, preparing plans and submittals, and resolving engineering challenges across a range of projects. This role will allow you to refine and demonstrate your expertise in civil engineering principles while working closely with project managers, team members, and clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a Junior Civil Engineer, your primary duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing and reviewing engineering plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates.
  • Develop project schedules and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Navigate local and state regulations and checklists to secure all necessary permits.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to young engineers and cad drafters.
  • Update Team leader on projects and workload status.
  • Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to complete tasks efficiently and inline with quality standards.
  • Conducting site visits and inspections.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • 1 to 4 years of experience in civil engineering projects, including grading, stormwater management, soil erosion and sediment control, roadway design (public and private), storm drainage, and water and sewer systems.
  • FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) license is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D or similar modelbased software is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform engineering computations and analyses accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to deliver technically sound projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
