Job description

Interbay Golf Center, located in Seattle, WA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Junior Camp Counselor! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
The essential duties are to enhance the campers experience at Interbay Golf Center, while taking responsibility for their well-being and needs. As a counselor you will be implementing camp programs (including chaperoning specialty camps, field trips, physical activities, daily living skills, health, safety and events).
Responsibilities:
  • Assume responsibility of safety of the campers.
  • Follow camp objectives, rules, policies, guidelines and daily schedule.
  • Assist staff with all camp activities.
  • Serve as a positive role model for youth.
  • Create new activities and games.
  • Show a genuine interest in the campers.
  • Problem-solve through situations and seek assistance when necessary.
  • Maintain the recreation/camp center up to Interbay Golf Center standards.
  • Welcome all club members.
  • Be punctual and organized.
  • Participate enthusiastically.
  • Enhance and teach skills to the campers .
  • Attend scheduled meetings and trainings.
  • Arrive on time and with a positive attitude.
  • Follow directions.
  • Work to ensure all youth are comfortable, safe and feel that they are included.
  • Perform all other assigned duties.
  • Know camper's location at all times.
  • Enjoy the fun summer events!

Qualifications:
Exhibit characteristics of: Leadership, enthusiasm, patience, self-control, maturity, responsibility, great social skills, integrity and a positive attitude.
  • 16 years of age.
  • Desire to work with children.
  • Ability to assist in teaching an activity.
  • Ability to accept guidance and supervision from staff.
